Instructions for use for URALYT-U Granules, 280 g

Uralyt-U granules contain the active ingredient potassium sodium hydrogen citrate. It is used to dissolve uric acid stones and to prevent the re-formation of calcium and uric acid stones or mixed stones of calcium oxalate/uric acid or calcium oxalate/calcium phosphate. However, it should only be used as part of an overall concept of metaphylaxis (e.g. diet, increased fluid intake). The preparation must not be used in certain conditions such as acute or chronic kidney failure, low-salt diet or severe acid-base balance disorders and should not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients. Dosage varies according to the area of use and should be taken exactly as directed by a doctor. Possible side effects include mild stomach or abdominal pain, mild diarrhoea or nausea. The preparation should be kept out of the reach of children and the expiry date should be observed. Further information is available in the package leaflet.
