LORA-ADGC® Tablets
To relieve allergies, hay fever, itching and redness of the skin
LORA-ADGC® is used to treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, and chronic, idiopathic urticaria, also known as hives of unknown cause.The active ingredient is well tolerated and can be used in children over 2 years old.The effect lasts for a long time, so the medication only needs to be taken once a day.
No prescription is required for this product.
Area of application
The drug is used to treat symptoms of certain allergic diseases that are associated with increased histamine release.It helps with allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, and chronic, idiopathic urticaria.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
One tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine as the active ingredient.The following excipients are also included: lactose 1-water, magnesium stearate, corn starch and povidone K25.
Contraindications
This medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive or allergic to loratadine.
Dosage
Always take the medicine exactly as directed.If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is one tablet once daily, equivalent to 10 mg of loratadine.
For children aged 6 to 12, the dosage depends on body weight.Children weighing over 30 kg take one tablet once a day.The tablet with a dosage strength of 10 mg is not suitable for children with a body weight of 30 kg or less.
The effectiveness and safety in children under 2 years have not been established.
For patients with severe liver damage, an initial dose of one tablet every other day is recommended.
No dosage adjustment is necessary in elderly patients or in patients with renal insufficiency.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if the effect is too strong or too weak.
Intake
The tablet can be taken without regard to meals.It is taken whole with a little liquid.
Patient information
Particular caution is required when taking the drug if you suffer from severe liver impairment.
If you plan to have an allergy test, you should stop using the medicine at least 48 hours beforehand.
In rare cases, loratadine can cause drowsiness, which may affect the ability to drive or use machines.Therefore, wait and see how you react to taking it before driving or operating machines.
Pregnancy
No teratogenic effects of loratadine were found in animal studies.However, the safety of use during pregnancy has not been proven, which is why its use is not recommended.
Since loratadine passes into breast milk, it is not recommended to be used during breastfeeding.
Notes
If the drug is taken with food, the absorption of the active ingredient may be slightly delayed, but this does not affect its effectiveness.
The effects of alcohol are not increased by taking the drug at the same time.
Taking the tablets may impair your ability to drive or use machines.
