LORA-ADGC® Tablets

LORA-ADGC® Tablets are used to relieve allergy symptoms such as hay fever, itching, reddened skin and watery eyes.The active ingredient is loratadine at a dosage of 10 mg per tablet.The medication is suitable for children from the age of two and works reliably over a period of 24 hours.

Area of application

LORA-ADGC® is used to treat allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, and to treat chronic idiopathic urticaria, also known as hives of unknown cause.The active ingredient is well tolerated and can be used in children over the age of two.Unlike older antihistamines, loratadine causes less fatigue and its effects are long-lasting, so it only needs to be taken once a day.

No prescription is required for this product.

One tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine as the active ingredient.In addition, the drug contains the following excipients: lactose 1-water, magnesium stearate, corn starch and povidone K25.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive or allergic to loratadine.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:

Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 1 tablet once daily (equivalent to 10 mg loratadine).

Children from 6 to 12 years: If you weigh over 30 kg: 1 tablet once daily (corresponding to 10 mg loratadine).With a body weight of 30 kg or less: The tablet with a dose strength of 10 mg is not suitable for children with a body weight of less than 30 kg.

The effectiveness and safety in children under 2 years have not been established.

Patients with severe liver damage: An initial dose of 1 tablet (equivalent to 10 mg of loratadine) every other day is recommended in adults and children weighing more than 30 kg.

No dosage adjustment is necessary in elderly patients or in patients with renal insufficiency.

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

Drowsiness, rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) and headache have been reported with an overdose of loratadine.If you have taken too many tablets of this medicine, please contact your doctor or pharmacy immediately.

Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose.If you forget to take a tablet on time, take it as soon as possible and then continue as recommended.

Intake

The tablet can be taken without regard to meals.It is taken whole with a little liquid.

Patient information

Take special care when taking this medicine if you have severe liver impairment or are planning to have an allergy test.The use of this medication should be discontinued at least 48 hours before performing skin tests.

As a rule, loratadine has a small influence on the ability to react.However, some people may experience dizziness, which may impair their ability to drive or use machines.It is therefore advisable to wait for your individual reaction to taking the medicine before driving a vehicle or operating machines.

Pregnancy

No teratogenic effects of loratadine were found in animal studies.The safety of using loratadine during pregnancy has not been established, therefore its use during pregnancy is not recommended.

Since loratadine passes into breast milk, it is not recommended to be used during breastfeeding.Before taking or using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.

Other

If the drug is taken with food, the absorption of the active ingredient may be slightly delayed, but this does not affect its effectiveness.The effects of alcohol are not increased by taking the drug at the same time. Taking the tablets may impair your ability to drive or use machines.
