Hewedolor Procaine 2% is an injection solution with the active ingredient procaine hydrochloride.It is an ester-type local anesthetic used for local anesthesia.This medicine is used within the framework of neural therapeutic application principles.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each 2 ml ampoule contains 40 mg of procaine hydrochloride.In addition, the injection solution contains sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid 25% (m/m) and water for injection purposes as other ingredients.

Contraindications

Hewedolor Procaine 2% must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to procaine, other ester-type local anesthetics, sulfonamides, benzoic acid or any of the other ingredients.The medicine must also not be used if there is a known deficiency of pseudocholinesterase or for injection into arteries, into the area around the outer lining of the central nervous system or into the spinal canal.

Dosage

The dosage of Hewedolor Procaine 2% should always be chosen individually and as low as possible in order to achieve the desired effect.Adults and adolescents aged 15 and over can receive up to 10 mg procaine hydrochloride (equivalent to 0.5 ml injection solution) per wheal.The recommended maximum dose for one-time use is 500 mg procaine (corresponding to 25 ml injection solution).When used in the head, neck and genital area, the recommended single-time maximum dose is 200 mg procaine (within 2 hours).

Application

Hewedolor Procaine 2% is used by a doctor.The injection solution is only intended for one-time use and must be used immediately after opening the container.Any unused leftovers must be discarded.

Warnings and precautions

Particular caution is required when using Hewedolor Procaine 2% if you suffer from a certain form of muscle weakness, a disorder of the cardiac conduction system, heart muscle weakness or if the injection is to be made into an inflamed area.Before use, the treating doctor will ensure that the circulatory system is well filled and carry out careful circulatory monitoring.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy, Hewedolor Procaine 2% should only be used if absolutely necessary.Procaine hydrochloride passes into breast milk, but interruption of breastfeeding is not necessary for short-term use.Breast-feeding should be discontinued in the event of repeated treatment or higher doses.

Ability to drive and use machines

Whether you are allowed to actively participate in road traffic, operate machines or carry out work without secure support should be discussed with your doctor on a case-by-case basis.

Side effects
