Linola® Duo Cream

Linola® Duo Cream is a cortisone-free cream that is used to treat inflammatory and itchy skin diseases.It relieves symptoms that can occur with non-infectious inflammatory reactions of the skin, such as those that occur in neurodermatitis (atopic dermatitis), acute and chronic eczema and allergic skin diseases.The active ingredient combination of levomenol and heparin sodium counteracts inflammatory and allergic processes in the skin and has been proven to relieve the associated itching.

Levomenol (alpha-bisabolol) is a natural but highly purified active ingredient that inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators and thus reduces the inflammatory process.The skin “calms down”.Heparin sodium has an anti-allergic and itching effect by inhibiting the release of the messenger histamine from the mast cells.The Linola® Duo Cream also contains nourishing ingredients such as almond oil and dexpanthenol.

Area of application

Linola® Duo Cream is a white, unscented, non-staining and easy to apply cream.It can be used both in acute cases and long-term for chronic skin problems.Since the cream is formulated without cortisone, it does not cause skin thinning (skin atrophy) even in long-term therapy.

100 g of Linola® Duo Cream contain Levomenol 0.30 g and heparin sodium (from pig intestinal mucosa) 20,000 IU. The other ingredients are almond oil, medium-chain triglycerides, tetradecan-1-ol, citric acid, polypeptides from collagen, all-rac-alpha-tocopherol acetate, dexpanthenol, purified water, mixture ofTetradecan-1-ol, cetyl alcohol (Ph. Eur.), stearyl alcohol (Ph. Eur.), macrogol myristyle ether (4 EO-units), macrogol cetyl stearyl ether (Ph. Eur.) (15 EO-units) and macrogol cetyl stearyl ether (Ph. Eur.) (25 EO-units);Preservatives: sorbic acid, salicylic acid.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, this product should not be used.

Dosage

Linola® Duo Cream can be applied to the affected skin areas 2-3 times a day.The skin should be undamaged (no open areas).Linola® Duo Cream can also be used on sensitive areas of the body.When using it on the face, care should be taken to apply the cream carefully, especially in the eye area, so that the product does not get into the eyes.

Long-term use on large areas should be avoided in children.Do not use in children under 3 years of age as there are insufficient data.If you have a tendency to bleed or have a reduced platelet count, you should avoid using it.If you have an allergic reaction to any component of the cream, the product should not be used.Since there is no sufficient data for the use of Linola® Duo Cream during pregnancy and breastfeeding, its use is not recommended here.

Patient information

The cream should not be used on open wounds and mucous membranes.If you are using another form of heparin, please discuss this with your doctor.If an allergic reaction occurs, use should be stopped immediately.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Notes

Linola® Duo Cream contains sorbic acid, cetyl and stearyl alcohol.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
