Instructions for use for CALCEA Wound and healing cream, 30 g

Calcea Wound and Healing Cream is an anthroposophical medicinal product for the external treatment of wounds and inflammations of the skin close to the surface. It is also used for bedsores (decubitus) and for the prevention of bedsores (decubitus prophylaxis). The cream contains a mixture of Calendula ex herba flor. Pressed juice and ethanol 96%, as well as Echinacea Ø as active ingredients. It is recommended to apply the cream thinly 2 to 3 times a day to the skin to be protected or to the diseased skin areas or wound surfaces. The duration of application should not exceed one week. The medicinal product must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the active ingredients or excipients or to other composite herbs. In the case of wounds covering large areas or infected with pus, a doctor should be consulted before use. There are no data available on the use during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Calcea Wound and Healing Cream should only be used during pregnancy after consulting a doctor and should not be used in the breast area. Side effects are rare and may include hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash, itching, facial swelling, shortness of breath, dizziness and drop in blood pressure. A brief burning sensation may occur on open wounds or mucous membranes. In case of side effects, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. The expiry date of the medicinal product should be observed and it should be stored at temperatures below 25 °C and not used beyond the stated expiry date.
