Summary: Cidegol C solution is an oral and pharyngeal antiseptic used as a temporary supportive therapy for mechanical cleansing in bacterially caused inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa and after periodontal surgery. It is also recommended for temporary reduction of the number of germs in the oral cavity and in cases of impaired oral hygiene. The medicine contains chlorhexidine and other ingredients such as mint oil, clove oil and ethanol. It must not be used if you are allergic to chlorhexidine bis(D-gluconate) or certain ingredients. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. The oral cavity is rinsed with the solution 3 times a day after meals and brushing the teeth in case of inflammation and not rinsed with water. The solution should not be swallowed, but accidental swallowing is harmless. Possible side effects such as bleeding gums, discolouration of the teeth and wound healing disorders should be noted. The package leaflet contains further information on risks and side effects. The medicinal product must not be used after the expiry date and should be stored away from children.
