Description

This medicine contains the active ingredients acetylsalicylic acid and paracetamol, which are pain relievers and fever reducers (analgesics and antipyretics).It is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 12 years and over (from 43 kg) to relieve acute mild to moderate pain.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The tablets contain 300 mg acetylsalicylic acid and 200 mg paracetamol.The following excipients are also included: carboxymethyl starch, sodium salt, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, pre-gelatinized corn starch, highly disperse silicon dioxide, stearic acid and 23 mg sodium ions.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol or any of the other ingredients.It is also forbidden to take it if you are allergic to salicylates or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAR), which have led to asthma attacks or other allergic reactions in the past.Furthermore, the product must not be used in the case of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, pathological bleeding tendency, severe impairment of liver or kidney function, severe heart muscle weakness, simultaneous intake of 15 mg or more methotrexate per week, in the last third of pregnancy and in children under 12 years of age or users under 43 kg.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The lowest pain-controlling dose should be used for the shortest possible period of time.Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults can take up to 4 tablets per day, leaving at least 6 hours between doses.In case of liver or kidney dysfunction and in older patients, the dose should be adjusted and monitored by a doctor.Children under 12 years of age must not take the medicine.The medication should not be taken for longer than 3 days without medical advice.

Intake

Take the tablets whole with enough liquid and avoid taking them on an empty stomach.

Patient information

To reduce side effects, the lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest period necessary.Simultaneous use with other NSAR should be avoided.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you are allergic to other anti-inflammatory drugs, suffer from allergies, asthma, hay fever, nasal polyps or chronic respiratory diseases, are taking anticoagulant medicines, suffer from high blood pressure or heart failure, are about to undergo surgery, have suffered from gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, have mild to moderate impairment of liver or kidney function, are chronically alcoholic, are taking medicines that impair liver function,suffer from an enzyme deficiency, have anemia, lack of fluids, chronic malnutrition, have a body weight of less than 50 kg or are older, have a tendency to lower uric acid excretion or have serious illnesses.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Do not take the tablets in the last trimester of pregnancy as this could harm your unborn baby or cause problems during birth.During the first 6 months of pregnancy you should only take the tablets if absolutely necessary and recommended by your doctor.The active ingredients pass into breast milk, but with occasional use at the recommended dose, interruption of breastfeeding is usually not necessary.If you use it for a long time or take higher doses, you should stop breastfeeding.

Other

The fever-lowering effect can simulate an improvement in the disease.If necessary, medical advice should be sought.Long-term use of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage with the risk of kidney failure (analgesic nephropathy), especially if several painkillers are taken at the same time. Long-term use of this medicine can lead to an increased risk of kidney failure if you are also taking substances that are harmful to the kidneys, have pre-existing kidney damage, a genetic predisposition or diseases that can lead to kidney damage.You should inform your doctor or dentist before operations.If you have black stools (tarry stools), you should contact your doctor immediately.If signs of infection appear or worsen while taking the medication, you should see a doctor immediately.If the recommended intake amounts are exceeded, the liver values in the blood can increase.Therefore, regular monitoring of liver values is necessary, especially in children.
