Aspirin Complex is a medicinal product in granule form used for the symptomatic treatment of swelling of the mucous membranes of the nose and sinuses in rhinosinusitis with pain and fever as part of a cold or flu-like infection. It contains the active ingredients acetylsalicylic acid and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. Acetylsalicylic acid has an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect, while pseudoephedrine hydrochloride reduces the swelling of the mucous membranes. Aspirin Complex has a long duration of action of up to 6 hours and can quickly relieve the symptoms of a flu-like infection. It is taken as granules to be dissolved in water. The recommended dosage for adults and adolescents aged 16 and over is 1-2 sachets every 4-8 hours, but not more than 6 sachets per day. Aspirin Complex must not be used for more than 3 days without a doctor's advice. The medicine is contraindicated for people with certain pre-existing conditions such as asthma, gastrointestinal ulcers, heart disease or liver and kidney failure. It may cause side effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort, insomnia, skin reactions and high blood pressure. Before use, possible interactions with other medicines should be clarified.
