One capsule of Silymarin forte-CT contains 277.80 to 312.5 mg of dry extract from defatted milk thistle fruits, corresponding to 167 mg of silymarin, calculated as silibinin.Ethanol 96% (v/v) is used as an extractant.The other ingredients include magnesium stearate, gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171) and iron (III) oxide (E 172).

Contraindications

Silymarin forte-CT should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.It must not be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding or children under 12 years of age.

Dosage

The recommended dosage is one capsule of Silymarin forte-CTtwice daily, corresponding to 167 or 334 mg of silymarin.The capsules should be taken whole with sufficient liquid.

Notes

Taking Silymarin forte-CT does not replace avoiding liver-damaging causes such as alcohol.If you have jaundice, you should see a doctor.The medicine is not suitable for the treatment of acute poisoning.In the event of acute poisoning, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
