Areas of application

Oleum Zinci oxidati cum Nystatino SR is used for skin infections caused by bacteria sensitive to Nystatin.

Contraindications

The product must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to zinc oxide, nystatin, peanut or soy.

Precautions and warnings

Due to the high osmolarity of nystatin, its use in very underweight and immature premature infants is not recommended.The product should not be used on large areas of skin covering more than 20% of the body surface.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Oleum Zinci oxidati cum Nystatino SR can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.However, large areas of use on the breast and breastfeeding women should be avoided.

Interactions

Residues containing zinc oxide should be completely removed before using other dermatic products as their effectiveness may be impaired.

Dosage instructions, type and duration of application

Shake vigorously before use.Oleum Zinci oxidati cum Nystatino SR is applied to the affected skin areas several times a day, for infants at every diaper change, and covered with gauze if necessary.For weeping diaper rash or candida infestation of skin folds, an oily suspension is applied 3 to 4 times daily.The duration of application is 2 weeks.

Overdose and other application errors

Acute poisoning is not to be expected when used as intended.In childhood, nausea, vomiting, gastritis and fever may occur if accidentally ingested.

Side effects

A slight burning sensation may occur after applying the suspension to severely inflamed areas of skin.Occasionally, skin redness, a feeling of tension, signs of dryness and rough skin may occur.Rarely, severe allergic reactions can be caused by peanut oil, as well as hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to other components of the suspension.

Notes on durability

The expiry date of this pack is printed on the label.Do not use this medicine after this date.After opening it can be used for 4 weeks.Store protected from light.Always store in the original container and not above 25 °C.Store drug out of reach of children!
