Area of application

Reducto®-spezial is a urological and mineral deficiency therapeutic.It is used to treat and prevent calcium oxalate stones in the kidneys, as well as hypophosphatemia when this cannot be corrected with diet.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Reducto® specially coated tablets contain the active ingredients potassium dihydrogen phosphate and sodium monohydrogen phosphate dihydrate.Each tablet contains 602 mg of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 360 mg of sodium monohydrogen phosphate dihydrate, which corresponds to a phosphate content of 612.2 mg per tablet.The other ingredients are carmellose sodium, carbomer 974 P, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (vegetable), methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:1), methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:2), triethyl citrate, talc, bleached wax and titanium dioxide (E 171).

Instructions for use

Reducto®-spezial should be taken exactly as directed.The usual dose for treating and preventing kidney stones is four to eight tablets daily, divided into three to four doses.In the case of hypophosphatemia, the dosage depends on the individual needs of the patient.Children require a reduced dosage.The tablets should be taken whole with sufficient liquid with meals.The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor and should be at least six to twelve months.If you have any side effects or have any questions, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Side effects

Common side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as pressure and fullness as well as diarrhea.These mainly occur at the beginning of treatment and can be influenced by individual dosage or intake with main meals.Tell your doctor or pharmacist if side effects occur or worsen.

Storage

Reducto®-spezial should be kept out of the reach of children.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the pack.No special storage conditions are required.
