Instructions for use of the article Pasta Zinci oxidati mollis SR Pasta Zinci oxidati mollis SR is a paste containing the active substance zinc oxide. It is used for acute and subacute dermatoses (skin diseases) because zinc oxide has a covering-protective and secretion-binding effect. The use of this paste should be avoided if there is hypersensitivity to zinc, lanolin alcohols, peanut or soya. It can be used during pregnancy and lactation if the dosage instructions are followed, but large-scale application should be avoided. Some precautions should be observed, such as avoiding application to large areas of skin and contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. Skin irritation from lanolin or allergic reactions from peanut oil may also occur. It is important to completely remove any residue from preparations containing zinc oxide before applying other dermatics, as this may interfere with the action of other agents. The dosage recommendation is to apply the paste several times a day to the affected areas of the skin and cover with gauze if necessary. The duration of application is not limited. In case of side effects such as reddening of the skin or burning on inflamed skin areas, the application should be discontinued and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. The SR st SR orage temperature should be below 25°C and the preparation should not be used after the expiry date. The composition of the paste consists of zinc oxide as the medicinally active ingredient and yellow vaseline, peanut oil, sorbitan trioleate GOT and wool wax alcohols as other ingredients.
