Area of application

Zinc oxide has a covering, protective effect and binds secretions in acute and subacute skin diseases (dermatoses).

Active ingredients and ingredients

The paste contains 300 mg zinc oxide as an active ingredient.Refined peanut oil, sorbitan trioleate, yellow petroleum jelly and wool wax alcohols are included as excipients.

Contraindications

The preparation must not be used if you are hypersensitive or allergic to zinc, peanut, soy, wool wax alcohols or any of the other components of the paste.

Dosage and application

The paste can be applied to the affected skin areas several times a day.For infants, this should be done every diaper change.If necessary, the treated area can be covered with gauze.The duration of application is not limited.

No prescription is required for this product.

Patient information

Avoid large-scale application to skin areas of more than 20 percent of the body surface.Make sure that the paste does not come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes.Wool wax can cause localized skin irritation.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If used properly and following the dosage instructions, the paste can also be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.However, large area application, particularly on the breasts of breastfeeding women, should be avoided.

Instructions for use

Residues containing zinc oxide should be completely removed before using other dermatic products, as their effectiveness may be impaired.If accidentally ingested, especially in childhood, nausea, vomiting, gastritis and fever may occur.

Composition and dosage form

100 g of the suspension contains 30.0 g of zinc oxide as a medicinally active ingredient.The other ingredients are yellow petroleum jelly, peanut oil, sorbitan trioleate and wool wax alcohols.The paste is available in original packs of 50g, 100g and 200g.

Durability and storage

The preparation should no longer be used after the expiry date printed on it.It should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25°C and always kept in the original container.Once opened, the paste can be used for three months.Keep medicines out of the reach of children.
