Mirfulan wound and healing ointment
Mirfulan Wound and Healing Ointment is a zinc ointment specifically designed to promote wound healing and relieve itching.It is suitable for the treatment of non-infected acute and subacute skin damage accompanied by redness, itching and pain.The ointment contains zinc oxide as an active ingredient, which has an antibacterial effect, binds wet wounds and covers and protects sore areas.The ointment also contains cod liver oil, urea, witch hazel bark and other ingredients that support healing and care for the skin.
Areas of application
Mirfulan Wound and Healing Ointment can be used for a variety of skin problems including diaper rash, abrasions, scrapes, cuts, small cracks, red itchy areas of skin, sore skin folds and flaky, cracked skin.The ointment promotes wound healing, relieves itching, redness and inflammation and protects sore areas.
Mode of action
Cod liver oil, a component of Mirfulan wound and healing ointment, is known for its anti-itching effect and supports the regeneration of damaged skin.At the same time, it nourishes the skin and softens crusts and scales to promote removal.Zinc oxide acts as a protective layer on the wound surface and reduces the excretion of wound fluid.The ointment also contains bisabolol, an active substance from the chamomile flower that has a disinfecting and anti-inflammatory effect.Witch hazel bark also has an anti-inflammatory effect, and urea relieves itching.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The active ingredient in Mirfulan wound and healing ointment is zinc oxide.100 g of ointment contains 10 g of zinc oxide.The other ingredients are urea, cod liver oil (standardized to 10,000 IE Vit. A and 2,000 IE Vit. D3 per g cod liver oil), witch hazel bark distillate with ethanol/ethanol water, white petroleum jelly, wool wax alcohol ointment, thin paraffin, glycerol monostearate 40-55,2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol-L(+)-6-O-palmitoyl ascorbic acid-citric acid-1H2O-glycerol monostearate-propylene glycol (10:5:2.5:5:27.5) (G/G) and purified water.
Contraindications
The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the other ingredients of the ointment.
Dosage and application
Always use Mirfulan wound and healing ointment exactly as directed.Depending on your needs, apply the ointment approximately ½ - 1 millimeter thick to the areas of skin to be treated once or several times a day.If the condition of the wound allows, ointment residues can be carefully removed with warm soapy water.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.
Patient information
Before using the ointment, care should be taken to ensure that the wound is not infected.If there is no improvement despite treatment, it must be checked whether an infection has occurred in the wound area and whether appropriate treatment is necessary.There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Mirfulan wound and healing ointment can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if used as intended and following the dosage instructions.However, large-scale application should be avoided.During pregnancy, no more than 8 g of ointment should be used per day (approx. 10 cm of ointment strand length).Breastfeeding women should avoid large areas of application on the breast.
Notes
No prescription is required for this product.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.Contains ethanol, butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene, cetostearyl alcohol and wool wax.Please read the package leaflet.
Application
Use Mirfulan wound and healing ointment at the first signs of acute or subacute skin damage to avoid complications.Regular use once or several times a day can accelerate the healing process.Before use, wash your hands, clean the affected skin area and make sure the wound is not infected.Apply the ointment ½ - 1 mm thick, massage it in lightly and cover the treated skin area if necessary.Before the next use, the remaining ointment can be carefully removed with warm soapy water.
