Mirfulan wound and healing ointment

Mirfulan wound and healing ointment is a special zinc ointment that supports wound healing and relieves itching.It is suitable for the treatment of non-infected acute and subacute skin damage accompanied by redness, itching and pain.The ointment promotes wound healing, relieves itching, redness and inflammation, protects sore areas and nourishes the skin.

Areas of application

Mirfulan Wound and Healing Ointment can be used for a variety of skin problems including diaper rash, abrasions, scrapes, cuts, small cracks, red itchy skin, sore skin folds and flaky, cracked skin.

Mode of action

The ointment contains zinc oxide, which acts as a protective layer on the wound surface and reduces the excretion of wound fluid.Cod liver oil, another ingredient, supports the regeneration of damaged skin, relieves itching and softens crusts and scales.The ointment also contains valuable auxiliary ingredients such as bisabolol from the chamomile flower, which has a disinfecting and anti-inflammatory effect, and witch hazel bark, which is also anti-inflammatory.Urea in the ointment relieves itching.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Mirfulan wound and healing ointment is zinc oxide.100 g of ointment contains 10 g of zinc oxide.The other ingredients are urea, cod liver oil (standardized to 10,000 IE Vit. A and 2,000 IE Vit. D3 per g cod liver oil), witch hazel bark distillate with ethanol/ethanol water, white petroleum jelly, wool wax alcohol ointment, thin paraffin, glycerol monostearate 40-55,2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol-L(+)-6-O-palmitoyl ascorbic acid-citric acid-1H2O-glycerol monostearate-propylene glycol (10:5:2.5:5:27.5) (W/W) and purified water.

Application

Mirfulan wound and healing ointment should be used at the first signs of skin damage to avoid complications.Apply the ointment about ½ - 1 millimeter thick to the areas of skin to be treated once or several times a day.Before use, you should wash your hands and clean the affected skin area.Make sure the wound is not infected.The ointment can be lightly massaged in and the treated skin area can be covered if necessary.If the condition of the wound allows, ointment residues can be carefully removed with warm soapy water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the other ingredients of the ointment.

Patient information

Before using the drug, care should be taken to ensure that the wound is not infected.If there is no improvement despite treatment with the medication, it must be checked whether an infection has occurred in the wound area and whether this infection needs to be treated accordingly.There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Mirfulan wound and healing ointment can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if used as intended and following the dosage instructions.However, large-scale application should be avoided.During pregnancy, no more than 8 g of ointment should be used per day (approx. 10 cm of ointment strand length).Breastfeeding women should avoid large areas of application on the breast.

No prescription is required for this product.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Mirfulan wound and healing ointment contains ethanol, butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene, cetostearyl alcohol and wool wax.Please note the package leaflet.
