Directions for use of the article Magnesiocard forte 10 mmol: Magnesiocard forte 10 mmol is a mineral preparation used for the treatment of magnesium deficiency states requiring therapy and in cases of proven magnesium deficiency causing neuromuscular disorders and calf cramps. It contains the active substance magnesium aspartate hydrochloride. The dosage for adolescents from 15 years and adults is 1 sachet 1-2 times daily before a meal. The daily dose should not be exceeded. The powder is dissolved in half a glass of water, tea or fruit juice and taken. There are some contraindications to the use of Magnesiocard forte 10 mmol. It should not be taken if allergic reactions to the active ingredient or other ingredients occur, in severe renal dysfunction with excretion inhibition, lack of fluid in the body (exsiccosis) or tendency to calcium magnesium ammonium phosphate stones. Side effects may include soft stools or diarrhoea. If adverse effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Precautions should be observed if allergies to the sweetener cyclamate or saccharin are present. Storage should be away from heat and the medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The composition of Magnesiocard forte 10 mmol consists of magnesium aspartate hydrochloride, citric acid, macrogol 6000, sodium cyclamate, saccharin sodium, highly dispersed silicon dioxide and grapefruit flavour. It does not contain gluten or lactose. Magnesiocard forte 10 mmol works by supplying magnesium, a mineral essential to the body. Magnesium supports the function of muscle and nerve cells as well as some metabolic processes. Certain instructions should be observed, such as taking antibiotics (tetracyclines) and sodium fluoride preparations at different times from Magnesiocard forte 10 mmol.
