Directions for use of the article Lösferron Effervescent Tablets Important information (obligatory data): [Effervescent tablets. Active substance: ferrous (II) D-gluconate. Indications: Iron deficiency; iron deficiency, for prevention, e.g. during pregnancy and breast-feeding; iron deficiency anaemia (anaemia due to iron deficiency). Indications: The preparation is an anaemic agent (anti-anaemic agent) with bivalent iron as the active substance. It is used in proven iron deficiency states - especially iron deficiency anaemia - caused by increased iron loss, reduced iron absorption, increased iron requirement (e.g. during pregnancy). Dosage: Adults take 1 effervescent tablet, in case of higher-grade anaemia 2 to 3 effervescent tablets daily. Children from 16 kg body weight and adolescents take 1 effervescent tablet daily (maximum 5 mg iron ions per kg body weight per day). Contraindications: The medicinal product must not be taken if you are allergic to ferrous gluconate or any of the other ingredients. It should not be used by infants and children under 16 kg body weight. Side effects: Possible side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, discolouration of teeth and blackening of stools. Composition: 695 mg ferrous gluconate 2H2O, 80.5 mg ferrous ion, ascorbic acid, citric acid, sodium carbonate, sodium cyclamate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, saccharin sodium, tartaric acid, orange flavouring, vanillin.
