ALKALA T tablets contain the active ingredient sodium hydrogen carbonate and are traditionally used for heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints. The preparation is an alkaline preparation that can restore the acid-base balance in the body. It is recommended to take 1 tablet 3 times a day with liquid. In case of prolonged or regularly recurring complaints, a doctor should be consulted. The medicinal product must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, shift of the acid-base balance in the blood to the alkaline side (alkalosis) and potassium deficiency. It is not suitable for the treatment of acid burns of the stomach. Side effects may include belching, bloating and formation of kidney stones. The medicine should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It should be stored away from heat. The dosage and instructions for use should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. Interactions with other medicines should be observed and conscientious dosing followed in infants, young children and the elderly. Before use, possible allergies should be taken into account.
