What is Mucofalk Orange Granules (sachet)?

Mucofalk Orange is a herbal swelling agent for stool regulation that is obtained from ground Indian psyllium husks.It is available in practical sachets with granules to stir in and has a pleasant orange taste.The product is well tolerated and is suitable for the gentle treatment of intestinal problems.

Mucofalk Orange bags are used to support long-term and chronic constipation, diseases that require easier bowel movements, such as hemorrhoids and anal fissures, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome with a tendency to constipation, diseases with an increased need for fiber and complaints after surgical procedures in the rectal area.The drug is generally well tolerated and known side effects have only occurred in exceptional cases.

How do Mucofalk Orange bags work?

The granules in the Mucofalk Orange bags are based on the active ingredients of Indian psyllium.The seeds and seed coats contain numerous mucilages that have a laxative effect and can help relieve constipation.The mucilage swells in liquid and reaches 40 times its previous volume.This increases the volume of the intestinal contents and makes the stool more slippery, which stimulates intestinal movement and makes the passage of the intestinal contents easier.

In addition, psyllium husks can bind excess water in the intestines, which helps to solidify liquid stools and relieve diarrhea.Psyllium husks also have the potential to bind dietary cholesterol and bile acids in the intestine, resulting in a natural and gentle reduction in total and LDL-cholesterol in the blood.

Intake and dosage

Mucofalk Orange bags are suitable for use on adults and children aged 12 and over.The recommended dosage for chronic constipation and diseases requiring easier defecation is the contents of one sachet mixed in at least 150 ml of liquid 2 to 3 times daily.For supportive treatment of irritable bowel syndrome and diarrhea, the dosage is the contents of one sachet 2 to 6 times a day, also stirred into at least 150 ml of liquid.

The medicine should always be taken with plenty of liquid to avoid blocking the throat, airways and esophagus.Do not take the product before going to bed or while lying down.There should be an interval of ½ to 1 hour between taking other medications.

To prepare, pour the contents of a sachet into a glass, slowly fill it with at least 150 ml of water, juice or similar liquid and stir the contents quickly until lumps form.Drink the solution immediately and then another glass of liquid.

When you should not use Mucofalk Orange sachets

You must not take Mucofalk Orange Granules if you are allergic to psyllium or any of the other ingredients.The medicine must also not be used in severe cases of hardened stools, discomfort and pain in the abdomen, nausea and vomiting until the causes have been clarified, after a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts longer than 2 weeks, after taking a laxative without evacuation of stools, loss of blood through the anus, difficulty swallowing and nausea, pathological narrowing of the esophagus, the entrance to the stomach or in the gastrointestinal tract, impending or existing intestinal obstruction,pathological enlargement of the large intestine, water and electrolyte imbalances, diseases with restricted fluid intake, forms of diabetes that are difficult to control and children under 12 years of age.

Caution is advised when taking thyroid hormones at the same time as dosage adjustment may be necessary.

Notes

Mucofalk Orange bags are gluten-free and lactose-free.Treatment of debilitated or elderly patients should be appropriately monitored.A single dose of Mucofalk Orange (5 g) contains 0.5 g sucrose (sugar) and 3.07 kcal (12.86 kJ) and is equivalent to 0.064 bread units.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Ingredients

Contraindications

Dosage

For chronic constipation, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take one sachet 2-3 times a day after stirring it into plenty of liquid (at least 150 ml).When used as a supportive therapy for diarrhea and irritable bowel syndrome, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take one sachet 2-6 times a day after stirring it into plenty of liquid (at least 150 ml).

Add at least 150 ml of cold water to the recommended dosage, stir the granules with a spoon without forming lumps and drink immediately.Do not take it lying down or immediately before going to bed and drink another glass of liquid.

Intake
