Description

This vitamin preparation is used to prevent biotin deficiency.Biotin, also known as vitamin B7 or vitamin H, is an essential vitamin that plays an important role in metabolism.

Active ingredient

One tablet contains 5.0 mg of biotin.

Other components

The preparation contains the following other ingredients: glycerol (moni/di/tri)alconate (C14-C18) (15:12:73), microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, povidaone K 25, crospovidone (type A), poly(O-carboxymethyl) starch, sodium salt and magnesium stearate.

Intake and dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is 1 tablet daily (corresponding to 5 mg biotin) to be taken whole with sufficient liquid, preferably a glass of water.The tablet can be taken at the same time as other foods and drinks.For prophylaxis, less than 0.2 mg of biotin per day is sufficient.

No prescription is required for this product.

Biotin must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to biotin or any of the other ingredients of Biotin 5 mg N.

Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or using any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.There is a possibility that anti-seizure medicines (anticonvulsants) may lower the level of biotin in the blood plasma.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking or using if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

There are no known impairments to the ability to drive or use machines.

This medicine contains lactose.

Overdose

Poisoning and overdose symptoms are not known.If you have significantly overdosed on this medicine, the symptoms listed as side effects may increase.In this case, please inform your doctor, who can decide on any necessary measures.

Side effects

Allergic skin reactions (hives) have been described very rarely.
