General information

The medicinal tea peppermint leaves is a herbal remedy that is used to relieve cramp-like complaints in the gastrointestinal area as well as the gallbladder and bile ducts.No prescription is required for this product.

For all loose teas we recommend the practical tea clip for filter paper.

Application

This medicinal tea is used for cramp-like complaints in the gastrointestinal area as well as the gallbladder and bile ducts.Always take peppermint leaves exactly as directed in the package leaflet.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed, 1 cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk 2 to 4 times a day: 1 tablespoon full (approx. 1.5 g) of peppermint leaves is poured with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and after about 10 to 15 minutes strained through a tea strainer.

In the case of acute symptoms that last longer than 1 week or recur periodically, we recommend consulting a doctor.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of peppermint leaves is too strong or too weak.

Special instructions for use

This medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to peppermint leaves or menthol.If you have gallstones, peppermint leaves should only be used after consulting a doctor.

Particular caution is required when using this medicine if the symptoms described in Chapter 1 increase.In this case, ask your doctor or pharmacist.Tea infusions should always be prepared with boiling water.Making tea with warm water is not sufficient.

Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using or have recently used any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.There are no known interactions.

There are no sufficient studies on the use of peppermint leaves during pregnancy and breastfeeding.Therefore, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this tea during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.You may no longer use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the outer carton after “Use by”.The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.Storage conditions: Store in the original packaging and store away from light and moisture.
