Summary: Posterisan protect ointment has been specially developed to care for and protect the sensitive skin in the anal area. It reduces the frequency and duration of acute haemorrhoidal problems. The ointment contains a skin protection complex that acts as a water-repellent protective coat and prevents irritation. It relieves mild discomfort and protects against the recurrence of haemorrhoid symptoms. It is applied before and after defecation. For application to the external anal area, the ointment is applied thinly, while an applicator is used in the anal canal. The stool should pass more easily during application. The ointment contains jojoba wax, yellow beeswax, cetylstearyl isononanoate, benzyl alcohol, butylated hydroxytoluene, white vaseline, purified water and lanolin. The product can be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children. Laundry protection is recommended as the ointment may stain laundry. The ointment can be used to relieve the discomfort of haemorrhoids.
