Instructions for use of the article Posterisan protect ointment Product characteristics: Posterisan protect ointment has been specially developed to care for and protect the sensitive skin in the anal area. It reduces the frequency and duration of acute phases in problems with haemorrhoids. The ointment contains a special skin protection complex that covers the sensitive anal region like a water-repellent protective coat. This cares for the skin and protects it from irritation. The ointment also makes defecation easier thanks to a lubricating effect. Posterisan protect relieves mild discomfort and protects against the recurrence of haemorrhoidal symptoms. The effectiveness of the product has been proven by studies. Application: Posterisan protect is applied as needed, especially before and after bowel movements. The ointment is applied thinly to the external anal area. An applicator is included in the pack for use in the anal canal. The ointment should be stored at room temperature. It is recommended to use a laundry protector as the ointment may stain the laundry. Ingredients: Posterisan protect contains a skin protection complex of jojoba wax, yellow beeswax and cetylstearyl isonanoate. Other ingredients are benzyl alcohol, butylated hydroxytoluene, white vaseline, purified water and wool wax. Indications: Posterisan protect reduces the discomfort of haemorrhoids and can be used to prevent recurrence of acute haemorrhoidal disease. The ointment can be used without hesitation during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Mode of action: Posterisan protect forms a protective film over the irritated mucous membrane and thus prevents pain caused by irritation. The film makes the anal canal more slippery and facilitates defecation. The ointment cares for the mucous membrane and improves its elasticity and moisture absorption capacity through jojoba oil, cetylstearylisononanoate and beeswax. Contraindications: The product should not be used if hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients is known. Dosage: Apply as needed before and after bowel movements. The ointment is inserted into the anal canal with the applicator and can be spread evenly by turning the tube. The applicator should be cleaned after each application. If there is pain during insertion, the included anal dilator can be used. Notes: Application of the ointment may stain underwear. Therefore, it is recommended to wear a liner. Manufacturer: DR.
