Macrogol-ratiopharm® Balance

Macrogol-ratiopharm® Balance offers a gentle solution to chronic constipation and supports mineral balance.Chronic constipation can interfere with daily life and can be triggered by stress, poor diet, travel or certain medications.Macrogol-ratiopharm® Balance promotes normal intestinal activity and facilitates intestinal transit without removing fluid from the body.The active ingredient macrogol 3350 increases stool volume and has a gentle laxative effect without being absorbed into the bloodstream.The powder is easy to mix with water and drink.It is also important to drink enough fluids and exercise regularly.

The electrolytes contained in Macrogol-ratiopharm® Balance help to keep the water and mineral balance stable during the treatment.The preparation gently relieves constipation and promotes intestinal health without any habituation effect.It is suitable for teenagers aged 12 and over and adults.It should not be taken for more than two weeks at a time without medical advice.If there is no improvement during this time, a medical clarification of the cause is recommended.Macrogol-ratiopharm® Balance is lactose-free and can therefore also be taken by people with lactose intolerance.

0.05 g potassium chloride, 0.03 g potassium ion, 0.02 g chloride ion, 13.125 g macrogol 3350, 0.35 g sodium chloride, 0.14 g sodium ion, 0.21 g chloride ion, 0.18 g sodium hydrogen carbonate, 0.05 g sodium ion, 0.13 g hydrogen carbonate ion, saccharin sodium as an excipient,highly disperse silicon dioxide as an auxiliary, orange flavor as an auxiliary, lime flavor as an auxiliary, lemon flavor as an auxiliary.

Contraindications

The preparation must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to macrogol 3350, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, potassium chloride or any of the other ingredients.The product should also not be used if you have a perforated intestinal wall, an intestinal blockage or severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon.Please inform your doctor or pharmacy if this applies to you.

Dosage

Adults, children aged 12 and over and older patients can take 1 sachet 1 to 3 times daily.The duration of use should normally not be longer than 2 weeks.If your doctor advises you, you may take it longer, especially if you have persistent constipation or certain diseases that cause constipation.In these cases the dose can be reduced to one sachet once or twice daily.

If you take more than you should, it could cause severe pain, bloating, vomiting or diarrhea.In this case, contact your doctor or pharmacy.If you forget to take a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember and continue using the prescribed dose.Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

To get the most benefit, always take the medicine according to the package leaflet.If your symptoms worsen or there is no improvement after 14 days, you should see a doctor.If you have any further questions about using the medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacy.

Intake

Open the bag and pour the contents into a glass.Add about 125 ml of water and stir until the powder dissolves.Then drink the solution.

The preparation has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Contains 0.63 mmol (25 mg) potassium per sachet, 187 mg sodium per sachet, sorbitol and glucose (component of maltodextrin).Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
