Selergo® 1% solution is a product for the treatment of fungal diseases of the skin and nails.The active ingredient ciclopirox olamine damages the outer shell of fungi, inhibits their growth and kills them.The solution is effective against yeast fungi, filamentous fungi and other fungal pathogens.Since it does not contain alcohol, it is particularly gentle on the skin.

Area of application

Athlete's foot is a common skin condition that often begins with redness and itching between the toes.If left untreated, the infection can spread to other parts of the body and lead to nail fungus.Selergo® 1% solution contains the active ingredient ciclopirox olamine, which attacks fungal cells from the inside and outside and reliably kills them.The ethanol-free solution is particularly mild and suitable for the treatment of fungal infections in school children aged 6 and over.

Mode of action

The antifungal active ingredient ciclopirox-olamine in Selergo® 1% solution kills all common fungal pathogens, including filamentous fungi, yeasts and molds.Unlike other active ingredients, Ciclopirox not only fights live fungal cells, but also the spores that can cause the infection to flare up again.The solution relieves unpleasant symptoms such as redness and itching within a few days.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.Selergo® 1% solution should be kept out of the reach of children.

Dosage

Selergo® 1% solution should be applied to the affected skin areas twice daily and rubbed in lightly.The solution should air dry.Treatment should be continued until the skin symptoms subside, usually for 2 weeks.To avoid relapses, it is recommended to continue use for another 1 to 2 weeks.

The medicine is not suitable for use on the eyes.With short-term use, no impairment of the ability to drive or use machines is expected.

Pregnancy

Before using any medication, you should always ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.Ciclopirox olamine can pass into breast milk, so the solution should not be applied to the breast area.It is not recommended to use it during breastfeeding.
