This medicine is a pain reliever and antipyretic agent used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.It acts as an analgesic and antipyretic.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The main active ingredient of this medicine is paracetamol with a dosage of 500 mg per tablet.In addition, it contains the following excipients: carboxymethyl starch, sodium salt type A, corn starch, povidone, precipitated silicon dioxide, stearic acid, talc and a total of 1 mmol sodium ions.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.The dosage should be as low as possible and only given over the shortest possible period of time.The dosage depends on the patient's body weight and age.

For children and adolescents, there are specific dosage instructions based on body weight.Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over or weighing 43 kg or more can take up to 8 tablets per day, which corresponds to a maximum daily dose of 4000 mg paracetamol.The time interval between two doses should be at least 6 hours.

In case of liver or kidney dysfunction, the dose must be adjusted or the interval between doses increased.Elderly patients or people weighing less than 50 kg should not exceed the maximum daily dose of 4 tablets (2000 mg paracetamol).

No prescription is required for this product.

The tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid, such as a glass of water.

Patient information

It is important to ensure that no other medicines containing paracetamol are taken at the same time to avoid the risk of overdose.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you suffer from liver or kidney dysfunction, are a chronic alcoholic or are taking other medicines that could affect liver function.

The tablets should not be taken for more than 3 days without medical or dental advice.Exceeding the recommended dose can cause serious liver damage.Long-term, high-dose use may cause headaches, which should not be treated with increased doses.

Children under 4 years of age or weighing less than 17 kg should not take this medicine.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Paracetamol should only be taken during pregnancy after carefully weighing the benefit-risk ratio.

Paracetamol passes into breast milk, but stopping breastfeeding is usually not necessary.
