Area of application

This medicine is a pain reliever and antipyretic agent used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.It acts as an analgesic and antipyretic.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each tablet contains 500 mg of paracetamol as the active ingredient.The excipients include carboxymethyl starch, sodium salt type A, corn starch, povidone, precipitated silica, stearic acid, talc and a total of 1 mmol sodium ions.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The dosage depends on the patient's body weight and age.For adults and adolescents aged 12 and over and with a body weight of 43 kg or more, the maximum daily dose is 8 tablets, corresponding to 4000 mg of paracetamol.Children should be dosed according to their weight and age, not exceeding the maximum daily dose.The time interval between doses should be at least 6 hours.

Intake

The tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid, such as a glass of water.

Patient information

It is important to ensure that no other medicines containing paracetamol are taken at the same time to avoid the risk of overdose.In case of liver or kidney dysfunction, chronic alcoholism, dehydration or chronic malnutrition/malnutrition, the dose should be adjusted or the interval between doses should be extended.The tablets should not be used for longer than 3 days without medical advice.

Exceeding the recommended dose can cause serious liver damage.Long-term, high-dose use may cause headaches, which should not be treated with increased doses.Habitual use of painkillers can cause permanent kidney damage.

Paracetamol has no effect on the ability to drive, but caution is still advised after taking a painkiller.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy, paracetamol should only be taken after carefully weighing the benefit-risk ratio.It should be used for the shortest possible period and in the lowest possible dose.During breastfeeding, paracetamol passes into breast milk, but interruption of breastfeeding is usually not necessary.
