Talcid Liquid is a medicinal product for the symptomatic treatment of conditions in which stomach acid should be bound, such as stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints. The medicine contains the active substance hydrotalcite. It should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or in case of phosphate deficiency. In case of impaired kidney function, it should only be used under medical supervision. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Adolescents from 12 years and adults can take 1 sachet 1-3 times a day. The duration of use should not exceed 2 weeks. Possible side effects include constipation, diarrhoea, vomiting and increased stool frequency. There are no known overdose symptoms. The medicine should not be used for children under 12 years of age. Persons with renal dysfunction, phosphate deficiency or hypersensitivity to the ingredients should not use the medicine. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy and lactation.
