Directions for use of the article Nicotinell Lozenges 2 mg Mint Nicotinell lozenges contain the active ingredient nicotine and are used to support smoking cessation. They help to relieve nicotine withdrawal symptoms and reduce the desire to smoke. The dosage depends on the strength of the smoker's nicotine dependence. The lozenges should be melted slowly in the mouth and not swallowed. The duration of treatment is usually 3-6 months. Side effects may include increased salivation, irritation of the mouth and throat and hiccups.
