The Nicorette® chewing gum 4 mg freshfruit contains the active ingredient nicotine.Other ingredients include chewing gum base, acesulfame potassium, arabic gum, carnauba wax, hypromellose, quinoline yellow (E 104), levomenthol, light magnesium oxide, sodium carbonate, peppermint oil, polysorbate 80, sucralose, titanium dioxide, tuttifrutti QL 84441 and xylitol.The chewing gum base contains butylhydroxytoluene (E 321).

Contraindications

Nicorette chewing gum 4 mg freshfruit must not be used if you are allergic to nicotine, levomenthol, peppermint oil, butylhydroxytoluene (E 321) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.Non-smokers and occasional smokers who smoke one cigarette per day or less should also not use the product.

Dosage

The Nicorette chewing gum 4 mg freshfruit should be used for a total of at least 3 months.It is recommended to chew 1 piece per hour, but a maximum of 16 pieces per day.The guideline is 8 to 12 pieces per day.4 to 6 weeks after starting treatment, the number of chewing gums per day should be gradually reduced by chewing them at intervals greater than 1 hour.The first attempt to stop chewing gum should be made when the average daily consumption over the last week has been 1 - 2 pieces.

Intake
