Instructions for use for nicorette chewing gum whitemint, 4 mg nicotine, 105 pieces
nicorette® chewing gum 4 mg whitemint
The nicorette® chewing gum whitemint supports smokers on their way to freedom from smoking.Actively chewing gum releases nicotine, which enters the bloodstream through the oral mucosa and increases nicotine levels. This not only alleviates the desire to smoke, but also typical withdrawal symptoms such as inner restlessness or increased appetite. In addition, chewing gum can distract from the impulse to smoke.
The sugar-free nicorette® chewing gums whitemint freshen your breath, have an intense mint taste and also score points with a teeth whitening effect. They contain 4 mg of nicotine and are therefore suitable for people who smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day.If cigarette consumption is less than 20 cigarettes per day, nicotine replacement therapy with nicorette® chewing gum 2 mg is recommended. If you want to benefit from a variety of tastes, you can also use the nicorette® freshfruit and freshmint chewing gums.
Area of application

Mode of action

Patient information
Particular caution is required when using the drug. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the product if you have had a heart attack or stroke or suffer from serious cardiovascular diseases, such as occlusive diseases of the blood vessels in the limbs, diseases of the blood vessels in the brain, narrowing of the coronary arteries (angina pectoris), Prinzmetall's angina or heart failure or cardiac arrhythmias.Caution should also be exercised in the case of spasmodic vasoconstrictions, inadequately treated high blood pressure, moderate to severe liver damage, severe kidney weakness (renal insufficiency), acute duodenal and stomach ulcers, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism or a tumor of the adrenal medulla (pheochromocytoma).Caution should also be exercised during bypass surgery or surgical procedures to expand blood vessels (angioplastic procedures).Your doctor will carefully weigh the risks of nicotine replacement therapy against those of continuing to smoke.
Further information: High nicotine concentrations in the blood with corresponding side effects can occur if you smoke soon after chewing gum. Please consider in which situations the risk of mindlessly reaching for a cigarette is particularly high.An existing dependence on nicotine caused by tobacco may continue even with the use of nicotine replacement products;however, using nicotine alone is less harmful than smoking tobacco. Those who wear dentures may have difficulty chewing because of the adhesion; In some cases it is therefore not possible for them to use the medicine.Dental seals or inlays that are not properly secured can become looser when chewing.
Child Safety Warning: Nicotine is a highly toxic substance.Even in a dosage that is perfectly tolerated by adult smokers, nicotine can cause severe symptoms of poisoning in small children, i.e.h.Ingestion can be life-threatening for children. Therefore, the medicine must be kept out of the reach of children at all times.
Children and adolescents: Nicotine chewing gum must not be used in children under 12 years of age.Only use nicotine chewing gum in young people (from 12 years of age and under 18 years of age) with a doctor's recommendation, as experience with the use of nicotine chewing gum in people under 18 years of age is limited.
Ability to drive and use machines: Effects on the ability to drive and use machines are not known.
Pregnancy
Before taking any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.Smoking can cause serious harm to the fetus and should therefore be stopped.Pregnant smokers should quit smoking without the help of nicotine-containing medicines. The use of the drug should only be considered after consulting your doctor if there is a risk of continuing to smoke. In this case, the doctor must weigh the risks of continuing to smoke (possibly higher nicotine plasma levels, harmful substances from tobacco smoke) against the risks of nicotine replacement treatment. The risks to the fetus when using the product are not fully known. The benefit of smoking cessation supported by nicotine-containing drugs in pregnant smokers who cannot give up smoking without such therapy significantly outweighs the risk associated with continued smoking.
Breastfeeding: Nicotine passes into breast milk. When using the drug in therapeutic doses, nicotine levels in breast milk can be achieved, which have an effect on the child. If nicotine replacement treatment is necessary during breastfeeding, the preparation should only be used immediately after breastfeeding and not within 2 hours before breastfeeding.
