1 Chewing gum from nicorette® chewing gum 4 mg whitemint contains 20 mg nicotine-polacriline (1:4), corresponding to 4 mg nicotine.

Other ingredients of nicorette® chewing gum 4 mg whitemint are chewing gum base (contains butylhydroxytoluene (E 321)), acesulfame potassium, pre-gelatinized starch (corn starch), carnauba wax, hypromellose, quinoline yellow (E 104), levomenthol, light magnesium oxide, sodium carbonate, peppermint oil, polysorbate 80, sucralose, titanium dioxide, WinterfreshRDE4-149 and xylitol.

Contraindications

The nicorette® chewing gum 4 mg whitemint must not be used if you are allergic to nicotine, levomenthol, peppermint oil, butylhydroxytoluene (E 321) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine mentioned.Non-smokers and occasional smokers who smoke one cigarette per day or less should also not use chewing gum.

Dosage

The nicorette® chewing gum 4 mg whitemint should be used for a total of at least 3 months.It is recommended to chew 1 piece of chewing gum per hour, but a maximum of 16 pieces per day.The guideline is 8 to 12 pieces per day.

4 to 6 weeks after starting treatment, the number of chewing gum per day should be gradually reduced by chewing the gum at intervals greater than 1 hour.The first attempt to stop chewing gum should be made when the average daily consumption over the last week has been 1 - 2 pieces.

Intake

1 Piece of chewing gum is chewed for around 30 minutes with breaks to release the nicotine from the chewing mass.It is important to chew slowly so as not to release the nicotine too quickly.As the flavor intensifies, the gum should be pushed into the cheek pocket until the flavor subsides.You can then start chewing again.
