Active ingredients and ingredients

Nicotin Beta Fruitmint chewing gums are sugar-free and available in two strengths, 2 mg and 4 mg.The active ingredient in both variants is nicotine, which is in the form of nicotine resinate (carboxyl cation exchange resin).The other ingredients are chewing gum base containing butylated hydroxytoluene, xylitol, silicon dioxide hydrate, magnesium stearate, sodium carbonate, hypromellose, cooling flavor, mint flavor, sodium bicarbonate, citrus fruit flavor, levomenthol, macrogol 6000, glycerol, titanium dioxide, talc, acesulfame potassium, sucralose and xanthan gum.The 4 mg version also contains iron (III) hydroxide oxide x H2O.

Nicotin Beta Fruitmint chewing gum is used to relieve cravings and reduce withdrawal symptoms.It is particularly useful for smokers who are motivated to quit smoking.The gum should be used when you would normally smoke cigarettes or when you feel the need to smoke.The strength of the gum should be chosen based on your nicotine dependence.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage

The dosage of Nicotin Beta Fruitmint chewing gum depends on your nicotine dependence.If you smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day or if you have previously had no success with the 2 mg variant, you should choose the 4 mg variant.In other cases you should use the 2 mg variant.At the start of treatment, 1 chewing gum can be used every 1 to 2 hours.The maximum daily dose is 24 chewing gums for the 2 mg variant and 16 chewing gums for the 4 mg variant.The treatment period should normally last at least 3 months, after which the nicotine dose is gradually reduced.

Chewing technique

Proper chewing technique is important to avoid heartburn and hiccups.Chew the gum slowly, with breaks.Chew until the taste becomes strong or there is a slight burning sensation, then stop chewing.Let the gum rest between your cheek and gums until the taste and burning sensation stops.Then continue chewing slowly until the taste becomes strong again or you feel a slight burning sensation.Repeat the chewing process for about 30 minutes.The effects of nicotine take a few minutes to appear, so the same quick relief as smoking cannot be expected.

The correct dose for adults can cause serious poisoning or death in children.It is therefore important that you always handle and store the medicine so that it is not visible or accessible to children.Adolescents between 12 and 17 years of age should only use this medicine if prescribed by a healthcare professional.The product must not be used by children under 12 years of age.

No effects on the ability to drive a car or use machines were noted.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.It is very important to stop smoking during pregnancy as it can cause poor growth of your baby.It can also lead to premature birth or stillbirth. It is best if you can stop smoking without using medicines that contain nicotine.If you are unable to do this, this medicine should only be used after consulting the healthcare professional caring for your pregnancy, your family doctor or a doctor who specializes in smoking cessation.

This supplement should be avoided while breastfeeding because nicotine passes into breast milk and may affect your baby.If your doctor has advised you to use it, chew the gum immediately after breastfeeding.

Smoking increases the risk of infertility in both women and men.The effects of nicotine on fertility are unknown.
