Dosage
The nicorette® chewing gum 2 mg whitemint should be used for a total of at least 3 months. It is recommended to chew 1 piece per hour, up to a maximum of 16 pieces per day, with 8 to 12 pieces being a guideline. From the fourth to sixth week after the start of treatment, the number of chewing gums per day should be gradually reduced by chewing them at intervals greater than 1 hour. The first attempt to stop chewing gum should be made when the average daily consumption over the last week has been 1 - 2 pieces.
Intake
A piece of chewing gum is chewed for around 30 minutes with breaks to release the nicotine from the chewing mass.It is important to chew slowly to avoid releasing the nicotine too quickly. The gum should be chewed until the taste noticeably intensifies, then pushed into the cheek pocket until the taste subsides, and then chewed again.
