Description of the product

ThermaCare pain gel is a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory medicine for external use.It is used in adults and adolescents aged 14 and over to treat pain from acute strains, sprains or bruises in the limb area as a result of sports and accident injuries, as well as inflammatory soft tissue rheumatic diseases such as tendonitis, tenosynovitis and bursitis.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

ThermaCare pain gel has a triple effect: cooling, pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory.It not only relieves pain locally, but also fights the cause of the inflammation from within.The gel is odorless, leaves no residue and its good tolerability has been scientifically proven.

Active ingredients and ingredients

ThermaCare pain gel contains Felbinac as the active ingredient.1 gram of gel contains 48.8 mg Felbinac, 1,1'-iminobis (2-propanol) salt, equivalent to 30 mg Felbinac.The other ingredients are carbomer, 1,1'-iminodipropan-2-ol, ethanol and purified water.In contrast to other pain gels, ThermaCare pain gel does not contain any controversial excipients such as paraffins/silicones, parabens or PEG-derivatives.

Application

The gel is applied to the painful areas 2-4 times a day in an amount of 1-2 grams (approx. 3-6 cm of gel strand) and massaged in lightly.Treatment should be continued until the symptoms subside.If there is no improvement, you should see a doctor.A daily dose of 20 grams of gel should not be exceeded.

Application instructions

The gel may only be used on uninjured skin.Contact with mucous membranes or eyes should be avoided.It should not be used under tight dressings.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the pack.

Contraindications and precautions

The pain gel must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to Felbinac, other anti-inflammatory medicines (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including acetylsalicylic acid) or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.Patients with previously damaged kidneys or those who have reacted hypersensitively to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or painkillers with asthma attacks, skin reactions, acute rhinitis or certain kidney diseases should not use the medicine.The gel should not be used in children and adolescents under 14 years of age as there are no sufficient studies for this age group.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There is no sufficient experience with the use of Felbinac during pregnancy and breastfeeding.Therefore the gel should not be used during these periods.Be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice before use.
