1 Tablet of nicorette® lozenges 2 mg freshmint contains: nicotine.Tablet core: Mannitol (Ph. Eur.), xanthan gum, peppermint flavor (contains gum arabic (E414), peppermint, menthol and eucalyptus flavor), sodium carbonate, sucralose (E955), acesulfame potassium (E950), magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.) Contraindications

Nicorette® lozenges must not be used if you are hypersensitive to nicotine or any of the other ingredients, if you are younger than 12 years old or if you have not smoked before.

Dosage

Similar to lozenges for pure breath freshening, the nicorette® lozenges with 2 mg or 4 mg nicotine are placed on the tongue.The tablet should occasionally be pushed from one side of the mouth to the other until it is completely dissolved.This can take up to 20 minutes.The lozenge releases the therapeutic nicotine it contains and this can be absorbed by the body through the mucous membranes and reduce the desire to smoke.

Nicorette® 2 mg lozenges are suitable for smokers with a low level of tobacco dependence, e.g. smokers who smoke their first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up or smoke up to 20 cigarettes per day.Nicorette 4 mg lozenges are suitable for smokers with a strong tobacco addiction, e.g.B. Smokers who smoke their first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking up or smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day.

Suck a nicorette® lozenge if you would otherwise have smoked a cigarette or if you feel the urge to smoke.Use a maximum of 15 lozenges a day.

Intake

This medicine is intended for use in the oral cavity.It is placed in the mouth, where it dissolves and releases nicotine, which is absorbed into the body through the oral mucosa.

Place a lozenge in your mouth and move it from one side of the oral cavity to the other from time to time until it is completely dissolved.This generally takes less than 20 minutes. Do not chew the lozenge or swallow it whole.

If you have a lozenge in your mouth, you should not eat or drink.

Patient information

The lozenges contain less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per lozenge, i.e.h.they are almost “sodium free”".

No effects on the ability to drive or use machines were observed.

Pregnancy

Use should be avoided while breastfeeding as nicotine passes into breast milk and may affect your child.You should only use the medicine during breastfeeding after consulting your doctor.If your doctor has recommended the use of the product, you should use the lozenge immediately after breastfeeding and not in the last two hours before breastfeeding.

Smoking increases the risk of infertility in women and men.It is not known what effects nicotine has on fertility.
