Areas of application

This product is suitable for repeated, time-limited use as an antiseptic on damaged skin.It can be used for a variety of skin injuries and conditions, including pressure sores (decubitus), leg ulcers (leg ulcers), superficial wounds and burns, and infected and superinfected skin conditions.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The ointment contains 100 mg povidone-iodine and 10 mg iodine as active ingredients.In addition, Macrogol 400, Macrogol 4000 and purified water are included as excipients.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used in cases of hyperthyroidism or other existing thyroid diseases, in chronic skin inflammation dermatitis herpetiformis Duhring, during and until the end of radiation therapy with iodine or if such treatment is planned, as well as in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or one of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Always take the product exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the ointment is usually applied evenly to the damaged area once or several times a day.The brown color of the ointment is a property of the preparation and indicates its effectiveness.Increasing discoloration indicates a decrease in effectiveness.If the color is completely discolored, it is no longer effective.If you notice extensive discoloration of the ointment, you should reapply the product.

The use of the ointment should be continued as long as there are still signs of inflammation.If your symptoms have not improved after several days of regular use or if symptoms recur after treatment has been completed, please consult your doctor.

Patient information
