Mutaflor Suspension is a medication used to treat diarrhea in infants, young children and children.It promotes the development of the body's own defenses.The active ingredient, the bacterium E. coli strain Nissle 1917, works in the intestine against pathogenic microorganisms and prevents them from colonizing.It also releases substances that strengthen and support the intestinal mucosa.

E. coli bacteria play an important role in the initial colonization of the intestine after birth, as they enable the colonization of other natural bacteria in the newborn's intestine.

Mutaflor Suspension is used for diarrhea in infants, young children and children, including those receiving tube feeding.It also serves to prevent harmful germs from settling in the intestines of premature and full-term babies and to increase the body's own defenses.

The active ingredient is Escherichia coli strain Nissle 1917. 1 ml suspension contains bacterial culture with Escherichia coli strain Nissle 1917 corresponding to 108 reproducible cells (CFU).

The other ingredients are purified water, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate and sodium hydroxide solution 32%.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described in the leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.If you are unclear, ask.

The recommended dose for diarrhea for infants, toddlers and children is 1 ml 1 to 3 times a day. For diarrhea during tube feeding, the dosage is 1-5 ml once a day.

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if the effect is too strong or too weak.

The duration of application is up to 5 days for acute diarrhea, up to 15 days for long-standing diarrhea and up to 5 days per diarrhea period for diarrhea under tube feeding.Treatment should be continued for a few days after the onset of treatment success.

If too large quantities are taken, no special measures are required.Do not use a double dose if you forget to take a dose.Continue taking the dose regardless of the missed dose.

No precautionary measures are necessary when stopping taking the medication.

The suspension can be dripped directly into the mouth, in infants before drinking, in small children after a meal.

Notes

Store the medicine at 2°C to 8°C (in the refrigerator).Do not use it after the expiry date stated on the package.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
