Mutaflor® Suspension is an intestinal therapeutic agent for the treatment of diarrhoea in infants, toddlers and children. It contains the active ingredient Escherichia coli strain Nissle 1917, which fights pathogenic microorganisms in the intestine and prevents their colonisation. Mutaflor® Suspension also has a supporting effect on the mucous membrane of the intestine and strengthens its natural function. It is used for diarrhoea in infants, toddlers and children, and for diarrhoea in infants, toddlers and children under tube feeding. The recommended dose is 1-3x 1 ml per day for diarrhoea and 1x 1-5 ml per day for diarrhoea under tube feeding. Mutaflor® Suspension is instilled directly from the ampoule into the mouth, in infants before drinking and in toddlers after a meal. The duration of use is up to 5 days for acute diarrhoea and up to 15 days for prolonged diarrhoea. Store in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C.
