Information for use with the article CC Nefro Film-Coated Tablets - Calcium carbonate is the active substance of these film-coated tablets. They are used to treat elevated serum phosphate in chronic renal failure, especially in patients on dialysis treatment. The recommended dose is 1-3 tablets 3 times daily, depending on the level of serum phosphate. The maximum dose should not be exceeded. The tablets should be taken unchewed with some liquid before or with meals. Long-term therapy requires regular medical supervision. Use in children under 18 years of age is not recommended. There are contraindications for people with an allergy to calcium carbonate or a high blood calcium level. Storage should be at temperatures below 25 °C.
