One film-coated tablet of Floradix Iron 100 mg forte contains dried iron (II) sulfate, corresponding to 100 mg of iron (II) ions.The other ingredients include maltodextrin, calcium stearate, lactose monohydrate, copovidone, macrogol 4000, talc, calcium carbonate E 170, cocoa butter, magnesium stearate, shellac, titanium dioxide E 171, cellulose powder, corn starch, carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), sodium dodecyl sulfate, sucrose (sucrose), povidone K 25, iron oxides and-hydroxides (E 172).

Contraindications

Floradix Iron 100 mg forte must not be taken if you are known to be hypersensitive to one of the ingredients, have iron utilization disorders or have excessive accumulation of iron in the body.

Dosage

Adults take 1 film-coated tablet twice a day.The film-coated tablet should be taken whole in the morning on an empty stomach or 1 hour before meals with sufficient liquid to prevent possible damage to the mucous membrane caused by stuck tablets.The tablet should be swallowed whole with water, without sucking or chewing it.The amount of iron to be supplied to the body depends on the stage of iron deficiency.It is not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
