Floradix Iron 100 mg forte film-coated tablets are used to treat iron deficiency conditions. The recommended dosage for adults is one film-coated tablet twice a day, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach or one hour before meals. The tablet should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. It must not be sucked, chewed or left in the mouth. The duration of use depends on the type and severity of the disease. For a successful therapy, the treatment should last at least 8 weeks. Side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints such as abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhoea. Contraindications exist in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients or in case of iron metabolism disorders. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. The product contains ferrous sulphate as the active ingredient and other ingredients such as maltodextrin, calcium stearate and lactose monohydrate. It should be stored away from heat. No specific commercial forms are indicated.
