Directions for use of the article Nurofen Ibuprofen überz. Tablets for headache 400 mg: Nurofen Ibuprofen 400 mg Coated Tablets contain the active substance ibuprofen. They are used to treat the acute headache phase of migraines with and without aura and to treat tension headaches, mild to moderate pain (such as headaches, toothaches and period pains) and fever in colds/flu-like infections. The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredients of the medicine, have severe liver or kidney damage, have stomach/duodenal ulcers or bleeding, have bleeding problems or have been pregnant in the last 3 months. Please also read the other instructions and precautions in the leaflet. Always take the medicine exactly as directed and contact your doctor if symptoms get worse or do not get better. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over is 1 coated tablet (400 mg) as a single dose, up to a maximum of 3 tablets (1,200 mg) per day. Older people do not need any special dose adjustment. Take the tablets unchewed with plenty of liquid. Avoid alcoholic drinks while taking the tablets. For more information, see the package leaflet.
