How does constipation occur?

Ingredients

1 Bag of Macrogol HEXAL® plus electrolytes contains 13.125 g Macrogol 3350, 0.3507 g sodium chloride, 0.1785 g sodium hydrogen carbonate and 0.0466 g potassium chloride.The other ingredients include colloidal silicon dioxide, saccharin sodium, orange flavor and lemon-lime flavor.The product also contains sorbitol.

Contraindications

Macrogol HEXAL® plus electrolytes must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients, if there is a perforated intestinal wall, narrowing of the intestine or intestinal obstruction, narrowing in the digestive tract, risk of intestinal perforation, severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, toxic megacolon, abdominal pain with an unknown cause and in children under 12 years of age.Please consult a doctor before using the product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage

For constipation, adults and young people aged 12 and over take the contents of one sachet, dissolved in a glass of water (approx. 125 ml), 1-3 times a day.Its use can be carried out without regard to meals and should normally not last longer than 2 weeks.If use for longer than 2 weeks is necessary, please discuss this with your doctor.

Intake

To prepare the solution, open the bag and pour the contents into a glass.Add approximately 125 ml or 1/8 liter of water.Stir until the powder has dissolved and then drink the solution.

Patient information

You should continue to drink enough fluids while taking it.The liquid content of the preparation does not replace your regular fluid intake.If you develop side effects such as swelling, shortness of breath, fatigue, dehydration or heart problems, you should stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor immediately.The preparation has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
