Directions for use of the article Ciclopoli against nail fungus: Ciclopoli against nail fungus is a water-soluble nail varnish containing the active substance ciclopirox in a concentration of 8%. It is used for the treatment of fungal diseases of the nails from the age of 18. The nail varnish is effective against thread fungi and other fungi that can be treated with ciclopirox. There is a possibility of localised skin irritation such as contact dermatitis because the nail varnish contains cetylstearyl alcohol. It is applied once a day before bedtime. The varnish is applied thinly to the affected nail(s) and the surrounding skin. After 30 seconds, the varnish is dry. The nail varnish does not require extensive removal, as the varnish residue can be washed off in the next shower. No additional treatment with files or nail polish remover is necessary. The treatment usually lasts 6-12 months until the nail has grown back healthily. Ciclopoli against nail fungus is effective against various nail fungus pathogens and their spores. Due to its deep-acting technology, the active ingredient is transported deep into the nail to effectively fight the fungus. The nail polish is invisible on the nail and is completely absorbed. It is recommended to change towels and socks regularly during the treatment and to wash at a minimum of 60 °C. Sharing towels should be avoided. Shoes should be regularly disinfected with a shoe spray to prevent re-infection. In addition to the treatment of nail fungus, possible foot or skin fungus should also be treated.
