ibudolor® acute 400 mg ibuprofen is a proven active ingredient for relieving mild to moderate pain and fever.The tablets are divisible and work quickly.The main active ingredient is ibuprofen, which not only relieves pain and reduces fever, but also has an anti-inflammatory effect.The medicine is well tolerated and is suitable for the treatment of headaches, toothaches, period pains and fever.

ibudolor® acute 400 mg film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen.Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen.The other ingredients are carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A) (Ph. Eur.), hypromellose, Macrogol 400, Macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.) and corn starch.

Area of application

ibudolor® acute 400 mg film-coated tablets are used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.These include headaches, toothaches, period pains and other similar complaints.The tablets are white, elongated and have a score line on both sides.They are available in packs of 10, 20 and 50 film-coated tablets.

Dosage

The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient water during or after a meal.If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take it with meals.The application should not last longer than 4 days unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor.The dosage depends on body weight and age:

For children between 6 and 9 years (20-29 kg), the single dose is ½ film-coated tablet (200 mg ibuprofen), the maximum daily dose is 1½ film-coated tablets (600 mg ibuprofen).Children between 10 and 12 years (30-39 kg) also receive ½ film-coated tablet per dose, but a maximum of 2 film-coated tablets per day (800 mg ibuprofen).Children aged 12 and over and adults (from 40 kg) can take ½ to 1 film-coated tablet per dose, with a maximum daily dose of 3 film-coated tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen).

Intake

Please take the film-coated tablets whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. a glass of water) during or after a meal.For patients who have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take this medicine with meals.

What about taking ibudolor® acute during pregnancy?In the first 6 months of pregnancy, ibudolor® can be taken acutely after consultation with a doctor.

Is the ability to drive acutely impaired by taking ibudolor®?At higher doses, side effects such as tiredness can occur while using ibudolor® acute.The ability to react can therefore be reduced, which is why active participation in road traffic is not recommended.

Should interactions with other medicines be taken into account when taking ibudolor® acute?Taking ibudolor® acute together with other medicines should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist, as the preparation may impair the effect of other medicines or be affected by them.These include medicines that have an anticoagulant effect, those that lower high blood pressure and diuretics.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are known to be hypersensitive to the active ingredient ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The medicine should also not be used if you have asthma attacks, nasal mucous membrane swelling or skin reactions after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the past.This also applies to unexplained hematopoietic disorders, existing or recurring gastric/duodenal ulcers or bleeding, a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation in connection with previous therapy with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs/anti-inflammatory drugs, cerebral hemorrhage or other active bleeding, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure, in the last trimester of pregnancy and in children under 20 kg (6 years).

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.If pregnancy is discovered while using this medicine, the doctor should be notified.You may only use ibuprofen in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy after consulting your doctor.This medicine must not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child.
