Information for use of the article Ibudolor akut 400 mg Film-Coated Tablets For risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist. Product properties: ibudolor® akut is an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory medicine. It is used for mild to moderately severe pain such as headache, toothache, period pain and/or fever. Dosage: The recommended dosage depends on body weight. In children 6-9 years of age weighing 20-29 kg, the recommended single dose is 1/2 film-coated tablet (corresponding to 200 mg ibuprofen) and the maximum daily dose is up to 1 1/2 film-coated tablets (corresponding to up to 600 mg ibuprofen). In children aged 10 years and over weighing 30-39 kg, the recommended single dose is 1/2 film-coated tablet (corresponding to 200 mg ibuprofen) and the maximum daily dose is 2 film-coated tablets (corresponding to 800 mg ibuprofen). In adolescents and adults aged 12 years and over with a body weight of at least 40 kg, the recommended single dose is 1/2-1 film-coated tablet (corresponding to 200-400 mg ibuprofen) and the maximum daily dose is 3 film-coated tablets (corresponding to 1200 mg ibuprofen). Directions for use: The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with plenty of liquid, preferably during or after a meal. They should not be taken for more than 4 days without medical advice. Special advice: In case of overdose, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, headache and dizziness may occur. In case of large quantities or accidental ingestion, consult a doctor immediately. There is no specific antidote. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions about taking or storing the medicine. The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be disposed of in waste water. Composition: Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen and excipients such as carboxymethyl starch sodium, hypromellose, macrogol 400, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate and maize starch. Mode of action: The active substance ibuprofen has an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting the production of certain substances produced by the body. Important information: Be aware that the medicine may impair the ability to react, especially at higher doses or in combination with alcohol. Do not use the medicine for longer than stated in the package leaflet and seek advice from a doctor if you are taking painkillers on a permanent basis. Avoid alcohol during treatment. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about other medicines you are taking. The medicine should be used with caution if you have certain pre-existing conditions or during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
