Contraindications

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults generally take 10 to 15 g of magnesium sulfate dissolved in approx. 200 ml of water.The effects begin after 8 to 10 hours.For rapid emptying of the entire intestine in 2 to 4 hours, 20 to 30 g of magnesium sulfate must be taken dissolved in 500 ml of water.The specified amount of liquid should be strictly adhered to.Children over 6 years receive half price.

The medicine should only be used for a short time.Long-term use leads to an increase in intestinal sluggishness.

Overdose can lead to water withdrawal with electrolyte imbalances and magnesium poisoning.Therapy must be based on the symptoms.

Application
