Levocetirizine TAD® is a second-generation antihistamine used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, including persistent allergic rhinitis, and urticaria.The medicine works quickly and has a long-lasting effect in relieving allergic symptoms of allergic rhinitis and hives.

The active ingredient levocetirizine dihydrochloride in Levocetirizine TAD® blocks histamine receptors and thereby reduces typical allergy-related symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose and itchy eyes.As a second-generation antihistamine, it has less or no sedating effects.

Quickly effective

The medicine relieves allergic symptoms within the first 30 minutes after taking it.Compared to first-generation antihistamines, it causes less tiredness and sleepiness and has a better effect than cetirizine.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

Levocetirizine TAD 5mg contains the active ingredient levocetirizine dihydrochloride in a dosage of 5 mg per film-coated tablet.The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate in the tablet core and lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 3000 and triacetin in the film coating.

Area of application

Levocetirizine TAD® is used to treat symptoms such as allergic rhinitis and hives.If you don't feel better or feel worse after 3 days, contact your doctor.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to levocetirizine, an antihistamine or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The medicine should also not be used if there is severely impaired kidney function (severe renal insufficiency with a creatinine clearance below 10 ml/min).

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and children aged 6 years and over is 1 film-coated tablet daily.

Intake

The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with water.It can be taken with or without meals.

Patient information

The use of the drug is not recommended for children under 6 years of age as no dose adjustment is possible with the film-coated tablets.

Some patients may experience drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness and fatigue during therapy with the drug.If you plan to drive a car, work or operate machines without a secure footing, you should first wait and monitor your individual reaction to the medicine.
